L'écran illustré (1924-1927) was a magazine for cinema lovers in Lausanne and Geneva. The weekly magazine was tabloid-style and featured contributions about actresses, actors and the world of international cinema. It also published announcement about current films and local cinema advertisements. In the 1920s and 1930s, several popular film magazines were produced in Switzerland, but after a few years they all ceased publication. As in the case of L'écran illustré, their publishers often disappeared from the scene along with the magazines.
