Freiburger Zeitschrift für Philosophie und Theologie = Revue philosophique et théologique de Fribourg = Rivista filosofica e teologica di Friburgo = Review of philosophy and theology of Fribourg
The Review of Philosophy and Theology of Fribourg was founded in 1886 with the original title Jahrbuch für Philosophie und Spekulative Theologie. In 1914 it became Divus Thomas, then received its present name in 1954.
Since its very beginnings, the journal has endeavored to embrace the entire field of research in philosophy and theology, through both scholarly articles and book reviews. In the field of theology, systematic questions receive special attention. In philosophy, the history of philosophy (medieval and modern in particular) is a strong point. Ethical interests are central to both areas.
The Review of Philosophy and Theology is committed to the tradition of European thought in its encounter with the challenges of contemporary research in philosophy and theology.
