INSA: Inventar der neueren Schweizer Architektur, 1850-1920: Städte = Inventaire suisse d'architecture, 1850-1920: villes = Inventario svizzero di architettura, 1850-1920: città
The "Inventory of modern Swiss architecture 1850-1920 INSA" documents the rapid development of forty major cities in Switzerland - over a time period that is rich in contradictions. Through broadly covered chapters with historical photographs and blueprints, the 11 INSA volumes provide a comprehensive picture of the Swiss settlement history and building culture.
The GSK edits the series entitled "Inventar der neueren Schweizer Architektur 1850-1920" ("Inventory of modern Swiss architecture 1850-1920", or "INSA"). Since 1880, the society has documented, researched and published information on Switzerland's architectural heritage. Working together with public institutions and private sponsors, the GSK is committed to researching the artistic and cultural history of Switzerland and communicating it in an engaging manner. It plays an active role as both the publisher and editor of numerous publications.
